The existing school at Teynham, originally built in 1974, was no longer suitable for the needs of the growing local community. Kent County Council therefore commissioned a new 2FE school to replace the outdated 1FE facility. The new building includes a practical skills classroom, dedicated breakfast and after‑school club areas, and a range of intervention spaces designed to enhance learning opportunities for all pupils.

 Hawden delivered full MEP design and energy assessment services for the scheme in a joint venture with Bailey Partnership.
