Hawden Exhibiting at the Kent Construction Expo 2021

Hawden MEP - Kent Construction Expo 2021

Hawden Exhibiting at the Kent Construction Expo 2021

After missing the 2020 event entirely due to Covid-19, we were very pleased to exhibit once again at the Kent Construction Expo.

The turnout was the best ever for the breakfast event, exhibition, and gala dinner!

Proof enough that everyone is keen to get back to face to face events after so long being tucked away in their spare bedrooms.

Mitchell Begins His Building Services Design Engineering Apprenticeship

Having spent 18 months studying locally, we are pleased to announce that Mitchell Holland commences his formal Technical Apprenticeship studies, at London Southbank University, this week.

Due to his previous education, Mitch will be joining the program in year two and will now benefit from all that the apprenticeship has to offer, meaning a better qualified and more well-rounded journey into the MEP Services world.

From all at Hawden MEP, we wish him well in his studies and have no doubt that he will turn out to be the successful engineer we have seen the beginnings of thus far!!

Amber Begins a Technical Apprenticeship in MEP Engineering

Our latest Junior Engineer Program candidate, Amber Smith, has today started her formal Technical Apprenticeship studies, at London Southbank University.

Amber is our first candidate to start this program at year one and we look forward to seeing her progress through her studies and qualifications.

Amber also marks another first for us as the only female candidate who has entered our Junior Engineer Program and we are so pleased to have her in the business to demonstrate that MEP Building Services Design is a great career choice for all those with an interest in Engineering.

From all at Hawden MEP, good luck in your studies and your new career Amber. We know you’ll achieve great things!!

Mitchell has achieved his Domestic on Construction Energy Assessor (SAP) Qualification

Here at Hawden we constantly encourage and support our engineers in furthering not only their experience but also their professional qualifications. This support starts when entering our Junior Engineer Program and we always look for additional qualifications for our budding engineers.

Mitchell entered our program a year ago and despite working through his formal qualifications and also working with the team and gaining new skills he has also managed to achieve his Domestic on Construction Energy Assessor (SAP) qualification.

From all at Hawden, wholehearted congratulations at achieving this so early in your MEP Engineering career!!

Hawden MEP Turns 10!

10 years ago Kirsty and I set up Hawden Associates Limited. At the time we were the only two employees but within a short space of time, we were joined by two fresh-faced fellas, one of whom is now a Director of the new trading company Hawden MEP Limited.

Over the years a few faces have come and gone but most have stayed and now form our fantastic team Hawden! We have met wonderful people in the professional teams we work with, many of whom we now consider as friends, and we had hoped to be sharing this anniversary with you all at a party this Summer but Covid-19 has scuppered that for the moment (don’t worry, we’ll try to do it for Christmas instead).

It has been a great 10 years and I wanted to just say a few thanks in this post to people who have made us who we are. Thanks to those who believed in us early on, even though we were new and not yet established, thanks to our clients for their continued business, thanks to our suppliers for their support, thanks to our peers for their professionalism and inspiration in this ever-moving industry but most of all so many thanks to our Team. You are Hawden and your dedication to each other and the business is why we continue to be successful!

Max has Achieved Level 5 Energy Assessor Accreditation with CIBSE

As promised, more good news about our Max Frawley. We are pleased to announce that Max has gained accreditation as Level 5 Energy Assessor with CIBSE. Max has achieved this whilst completing his degree, in a third of the time of our previous assessor and is, we believe, the youngest L5 Assessor in the country. Well done Max. Another great effort and result!!
