Celebrating 10 Years of Scott Lee at Hawden MEP

10 years of service

This week, we’re proud to celebrate a major milestone: 10 years of dedicated service from our Senior Electrical Engineer, Scott (Bruce) Lee.

Scott joined Hawden on 1st July 2016 as part of our Junior Engineer Programme and has since become an integral part of the business, building a reputation as a dependable, knowledgeable, and highly respected engineer.

Over the past decade, Scott has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions. His quiet strength, calm approach, and ability to remain composed under pressure have made him a valued colleague and trusted member of the team.

As Hawden has grown and evolved, Scott has played an important role in that journey. His steady contribution, technical expertise, and willingness to support those around him have helped shape both projects and people across the organisation.

Scott’s contribution over the last ten years has been outstanding. His unrelenting drive to quietly succeed in everything he does is above reproach, and his dedication to Hawden has been evident throughout his career with us.

Well done, Scott, and thank you for your loyalty, commitment, and contribution over the past decade.

Here’s to the next decade of success, expertise, and continued achievement at Hawden!

Celebrating 10 Years of Mark Harris at Hawden

10 YEARS OF MARK HARRIS

We’re proud to celebrate a major milestone: 10 years of dedicated service from our Technical Director, Mark Harris.

Mark joined Hawden on 29th March 2016 as an Associate Director, bringing with him not only a strong network of industry contacts but also a depth of technical expertise that immediately elevated our practice. From day one, his influence has helped shape the professional, forward‑thinking consultancy we are today.

In 2019, Mark became a Shareholding Director – an achievement that reflects both his commitment to the business and the trust we place in his leadership. Today, he plays a pivotal dual role, balancing his engineering responsibilities with the ongoing development and management of our internal processes, systems, and accreditations.

Mark’s contribution over the past decade has been nothing short of transformative. His drive to continually improve our standards, refine our operations, and support our growth has been invaluable. He has become an integral part of Hawden’s identity and success.

Thank you, Mark, for your unwavering dedication, your professionalism, and the impact you’ve made over the last 10 years.

Here’s to the next decade of innovation, leadership, and shared success.

Nadia’s Bright Future – Whitecroft Bright Futures Academy

NADIA’S BRIGHT FUTURE

Celebrating further successes in the Hawden Team; we wanted to highlight the achievement of one of our Trainee Engineers, Nadia Husen.

A year ago, we were invited to send a trainee to benefit from a joint venture between one of our Clients, Willmott Dixon, and one of our suppliers, Whitecroft Lighting.

The Bright Future’s Academy see’s some of the brightest young minds gathered together with industry thought leaders to network, share knowledge and bright ideas.

The programme starts with a visit to the factory, seminars and workshop and continues over time with interactive learning and the development of a project culminating in a Team presentation.

Not only did Nadia graduate from the Academy last week but also her Team Presentation was voted the Winner and she receive additional recognition because of it.

Thank you, to Willmott Dixon and Whitecroft Lighting, for offering such a beneficial opportunity and Congratulations to Nadia on your achievement.

Celebrating the Success of Mitchell Holland

Celebrating the Success of Mitchell Holland – BEng ACIBSE IEng

Following on from our recent update about our Apprenticeship and Junior Engineer Programme, we’re delighted to share an outstanding success story from within our team.

Mitchell has officially completed his apprenticeship, achieved his academic qualifications, and secured his professional accreditation — a milestone that reflects years of dedication, hard work, and continuous development.

Mitchell first joined us for work experience during his T‑Level studies. After completing them, he entered our Junior Engineer Programme while continuing his education at MidKent College. Having achieved his HNC in Building Services Engineering, he progressed to London South Bank University to undertake a formal Technical Apprenticeship.

In 2025, Mitchell completed his studies and moved straight into pursuing his professional qualifications, which he has now proudly achieved. Along the way, he was also shortlisted for CIBSE Apprentice of the Year, narrowly missing out on the top spot – an impressive recognition in itself.

Mitchell is also one of our in‑house SAP (OCDEA) Assessors, further demonstrating the breadth of his capability.

We are incredibly proud of Mitch. His achievements are a testament to his commitment, talent, and the well‑rounded skill set he has developed. Although he has chosen to specialise as an Electrical Engineer, he is without doubt one of the few genuinely holistic Building Services Engineers in the industry.

Congratulations, Mitch – a fantastic achievement and very well deserved.
