TOM WARNER

A big shout out to our Tom Warner who is celebrating 11 years at Hawden MEP.

Tom is one of our Energy Assessors and Mechanical Engineers and is a cornerstone of the MEP team.

As our second-longest-serving member, Tom has grown and developed right along with the company, becoming the highly respected expert we all rely on today. His easy going nature and friendly demeanour make him a hit with clients and colleagues alike. With his keen eye for detail and natural managerial talent, Tom is an essential part of the future of Hawden MEP!

BERRYWOOD CAMHS PROJECT

Hawden would like to congratulate the team on the Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Berrywood Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) project.

The project recently was recognised at the Building Better Healthcare Awards 2025 with:
Gold- Best Mental Health/ Dementia Care Development
Gold- Best Interior Design (New Build)
Silver- Best Healthcare Development (under £25m)

Hawden provided full M&E services design and onsite monitoring throughout the project, alongside the design team.

LOW CARBON CONSULTANT

Well done to our Scott Lee for passing the CIBSE LCC Building Design exam and becoming a certified Low Carbon Consultant. Scott joins other members of the Hawden MEP team in being certified as a low carbon consultant with CIBSE.

MITCHELL GRADUATES!

Mitchell Graduates!

All at Hawden would like to extend a huge congratulations to our engineer Mitchell Holland who graduated from London South Bank University. Mitch achieved upper second class honours in the LSBU BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering (TAC Design Apprenticeship) course.

Mitch is the first engineer to successfully complete the Hawden MEP junior engineer program. We have others following in Mitch’s footsteps and are always keen to discover new hardworking young people interested in joining the team and starting their journey to become a building services engineer.

MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AIDER

Our Jodie Angel successfully undertook the Mental Health First Aid Refresher course with MHFA England® to refresh and update the skills learnt on the previous MHFA course.

Hawden MEP have three Mental Health First Aiders within the team, ensuring that should any of the team need to discuss mental health issues, we have the resources to listen and assist.

HAWDEN CHARITY GO KARTING 2025

All at Hawden MEP would like to thank everyone who attended our annual charity go-karting event held at Buckmore Park Karting circuit on the 18th September 2025. This year’s event was held in aid of Donations with a Difference and the total amount raised is a tremendous £7354.00, beating last years total by over £2000!

NEW STARTER ISABELLE

New starter isabelle

We would like to extend a very warm welcome to the newest member of the Hawden MEP team, Isabelle.

Having recently secured her First-Class Masters degree from University of Reading, we’re all thrilled to have her join the team as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer.

Izzy will bring fresh ideas, enthusiasm as well as a passion for sustainability and problem solving to the business. She’ll be working alongside the mechanical engineering team to help successfully deliver innovative and practical solutions for future projects

Fordway PRU, Stanwell Road, Ashford

We attended site at this new alternative provision education building in Stanwell, Ashford.

Hawden MEP provided full M&E design, monitoring and the final EPC for Morgan Sindall Construction, alongside the rest of the professional team. The building is now complete and ready for Client occupation.

The building is provided with sustainable services with space heating via an air source heat pump, VRF comfort cooling, a mix of hybrid and mechanical ventilation throughout and a roof mounted PV array.

The building performs excellently, achieving an EPC ‘A’ rating with a negative building emission rate (BER).

After missing the 2020 event entirely due to Covid-19, we were very pleased to exhibit once again at the Kent Construction Expo.

The turnout was the best ever for the breakfast event, exhibition, and gala dinner!

Proof enough that everyone is keen to get back to face to face events after so long being tucked away in their spare bedrooms.

Mitchell Begins His Building Services Design Engineering Apprenticeship

Having spent 18 months studying locally, we are pleased to announce that Mitchell Holland commences his formal Technical Apprenticeship studies, at London Southbank University, this week.

Due to his previous education, Mitch will be joining the program in year two and will now benefit from all that the apprenticeship has to offer, meaning a better qualified and more well-rounded journey into the MEP Services world.

From all at Hawden MEP, we wish him well in his studies and have no doubt that he will turn out to be the successful engineer we have seen the beginnings of thus far!!
