Nadia’s Bright Future – Whitecroft Bright Futures Academy

NADIA’S BRIGHT FUTURE

Celebrating further successes in the Hawden Team; we wanted to highlight the achievement of one of our Trainee Engineers, Nadia Husen.

A year ago, we were invited to send a trainee to benefit from a joint venture between one of our Clients, Willmott Dixon, and one of our suppliers, Whitecroft Lighting.

The Bright Future’s Academy see’s some of the brightest young minds gathered together with industry thought leaders to network, share knowledge and bright ideas.

The programme starts with a visit to the factory, seminars and workshop and continues over time with interactive learning and the development of a project culminating in a Team presentation.

Not only did Nadia graduate from the Academy last week but also her Team Presentation was voted the Winner and she receive additional recognition because of it.

Thank you, to Willmott Dixon and Whitecroft Lighting, for offering such a beneficial opportunity and Congratulations to Nadia on your achievement.

Celebrating the Success of Mitchell Holland

Celebrating the Success of Mitchell Holland – BEng ACIBSE IEng

Following on from our recent update about our Apprenticeship and Junior Engineer Programme, we’re delighted to share an outstanding success story from within our team.

Mitchell has officially completed his apprenticeship, achieved his academic qualifications, and secured his professional accreditation — a milestone that reflects years of dedication, hard work, and continuous development.

Mitchell first joined us for work experience during his T‑Level studies. After completing them, he entered our Junior Engineer Programme while continuing his education at MidKent College. Having achieved his HNC in Building Services Engineering, he progressed to London South Bank University to undertake a formal Technical Apprenticeship.

In 2025, Mitchell completed his studies and moved straight into pursuing his professional qualifications, which he has now proudly achieved. Along the way, he was also shortlisted for CIBSE Apprentice of the Year, narrowly missing out on the top spot – an impressive recognition in itself.

Mitchell is also one of our in‑house SAP (OCDEA) Assessors, further demonstrating the breadth of his capability.

We are incredibly proud of Mitch. His achievements are a testament to his commitment, talent, and the well‑rounded skill set he has developed. Although he has chosen to specialise as an Electrical Engineer, he is without doubt one of the few genuinely holistic Building Services Engineers in the industry.

Congratulations, Mitch – a fantastic achievement and very well deserved.
